A Quickie For Ya!
Update to the update of the original deal!!
Empties, empties and more empties!
We have been totally floored lately with cans, bottles, and plastics! Oh my! (And I am beginning to think that ours friends must not like returning empties as much as me, :)!)
Notes, notes, and more notes!
Max has been receiving notes, dollars, and coins from you dear friends! Those unexpected gifts are blowing us all away, you all are too kind!
Gas-O-Meter!
As you can see on Josh's Gas-O-Meter - Max has only 16 gallons to go! (And that is not counting the empties we are picking up today!)
Smarty Pig!
There are deposits made into the Smarty Pig but they take forever and have not been cleared yet, but if they were and it was, then you could sea that we are getting our end done too!
AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
We're going on a sea star hunt!
We're gonna catch a big one!
Oh no, we're not scared!
(Just praying IC will catch up with the rest of the world and lower their gas prices already!)
Just a thought - would Lake Michigan count as going to the sea? It would be much much closer!
It's a nice thought Amy, but its gotta be the sea! :)!
i have decided that maybe God is waiting to "wow" you and your family and saving the $1.50 gas for the day you leave! :) ps. do you guys have a bp gas card? you get 10% back for the first 3 months I think and then 5% back after that. that would lower it below $1.50! :)
That is what I was thinking too! I have been praying for Dec. 27th for $1.50 on the IC signs just for Max! We don't have a BP card, I will have Josh look into that. We do have "Gas Buddy" that tells you every price/gallon at all the gas stations in whatever city you are in so that we can make sure we are always getting the best deal on gas.
The Sea is the SEA! You can't fake anyone out with a pitiful lake by calling it a SEA just because it is big!! Take it from me, I grew up within an hour's drive to the sea, (Pacific Ocean) and my mom LOVED the SEA, so Max, my friend, you hold out for THE SEA!!!! love you and thinking of you! Uncle Karl's mom, Grandma Q.
Indeed Gma Q! Plus, Max is WAY to knowledgeable about the ocean to be satisfied with lakes he has already seen. He has been researching ocean life constantly for at least 6 months straight and can tell you just about anything you want to know (most specifically about tide pools and their animals, corals, turtles and other urchins). Not to mention, he is preparing his presentation for the academic fair all about the ocean. We are all holding out for the SEA! :)!
Dana--I never heard from you about your address. Even if you make the goal before our funds get to you, we'd like to send them! We know there will be lots of costs for this trip beyond the gas. Please send me your address if you get the chance!
Aw schucks Autumn! I should've known you were serious! I will send you it via FB right now, :)!
